Ms Yohanna Alemayehu Hailu

Ms Yohanna Alemayehu Hailu holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Adama Science and Technology University. She is currently the Program Coordinator of the Talent Youth Association, an active member of the Amref Youth Advisory Group  (AYAG), and a Consultant, providing technical assistance to the inclusively youth-friendly sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR) project funded by Rise Up For Youth. Ms Yohanna has more than six years of experience in leading and advocating for youth issues particularly around meaningful youth engagement, elimination of harmful traditional practices and girls’ education. She has been a Global Youth Ambassador for the World at School, and has engaged with a number of platforms including the United Nations, the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) program and the African Union.  Ms Yohanna was awarded the 2018 Mandela Washington Fellowship for her advocacy work for youth inclusion and the empowerment of women and girls’ rights.”
