Districts in Gamo highlands are among the remotest areas in South Ethiopia, with lack of basic infrastructures such as road, electricity, drinking water as well as standard schools with basic facilities.<\/p>

Recognizing this, Amref Health Africa implements \u2018Community Empowerment for Children\u2019s Wellbeing\u2019 project to address the gaps and barriers seen in children\u2019s education, and thereby contribute to community\u2019s development.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Implemented in eight schools, the project works towards\u00a0<\/p>

  • Empowering vulnerable students to take informed decision that affect their health and school performance using buddy system.<\/li><\/ul>

    \u00a0<\/p>

    • Improving access to quality basic services to vulnerable children and woman\u2019s through strengthening multisector collaboration.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
