Pillar 3: Investments in Health

Investments in Health

Kenya is still heavily dependent on donors, and the health sector still faces many challenges ranging from increasing cases of communicable, non-communicable diseases and the rising burden of diseases and dissatisfaction among health care workers. Amref Health Africa in Kenya is working closely with the government and other stakeholders to contribute to increased investments in health that will ensure Kenya achieves Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030.

By employing our vast expertise and experience in developing sustainable and scalable health care financing models, we work to ensure that vulnerable, marginalised and poor communities in Kenya are protected from catastrophic and impoverishing effects of out-of-pocket expenditure.
