The senior management team reports to a local board. Amref Health Africa in Malawi was established in 2012 in response to calls from the ministry of health to support its efforts in strengthening primary health care in Malawian communities and officially registered in 2013. The Malawi office is part of the bigger Amref Health Africa that was established in 1957 with its headquarters (HQ) in Kenya.\u00a0 Amref\u2019s initial work in Malawi began by working with women of reproductive age where vesico-vaginal fistulae were repaired and another projects on the eradication of child marriages (funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Amref Netherlands and the Trachoma Elimination project funded by the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Funded through Sight Savers.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who We Are Amref Health Africa Malawi is registered with Malawi NGO board and Council for Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGOMA).
