Josiah Otege, is advocacy manager at Amref Heath Africa in Tanzania. As a development professional, he has an extensive technical and managerial experience of 10 years plus, in the development Sector. Josiah holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration from Amity University of India and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sociology from University of Dar Es Salaam.
Over this period, Josiah, has been engaged and graciously shared his expertise in a number of functions; ranging from project planning and management, policy analysis and advocacy, external relations, communications, PR and campaigns, M&E and team management, in various development sector and subsectors. For example in the health sector alone, he has rendered his skills and expertise in a number of areas which include but not limited to Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), Family planning, Population Health and Environment (PHE), Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), Cervical cancer, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Water and Sanitation (WASH).
On top of that, he has written and contributed to several key national documents as a research brief on Opportunities for harnessing Demographic Dividend in Tanzania and the national Advocacy, Communication, and Social Mobilisation and its implementation plan for TB and Leprosy program. He has also spoke at a various national and international conference on development sector to share his expertise with the development professionals community.
