Before receiving training, Dadi had little understanding of maternal care and nutrition. Now, he is a pivotal figure in his community, educating pregnant women on recognizing danger signs and emphasizing the importance of early visits to health clinics.

“Mothers now come to the clinic with their partners and seek medical care when they feel unwell, instead of relying on traditional healers,” Dadi explains. This shift has not only improved maternal health but has also contributed to a significant reduction in malnutrition. Dadi encourages families to make small but impactful dietary changes, helping them understand the link between nutrition and overall well-being.

In his work, Dadi goes beyond just providing advice, he ensures that families follow through with the guidance. He regularly visits homes to offer personalized nutritional education. “When a mother faces nutritional challenges, whether for herself or her child, we make sure she visits the hospital for proper treatment. We also give referrals, and I make sure to follow up,” he says. Dadi’s commitment to his community extends to regular follow-ups to monitor the progress of those he refers to health facilities. “It’s not enough to just give advice— we need to make sure people are truly healing,” he adds. His approach has fostered trust within the community, where people now seek medical help more willingly and act on the guidance provided

Through his education, Dadi has seen the positive impact of empowering families with knowledge. “When I give education, the community responds, they put it into practice,” he shares.
