As a member of the Senior Management Team, Emily Provides Strategic Leadership and management to the Human Resources, Procurement and Administration functions, with care and professionalism to support the organisation implement topnotch health projects. She leads the development of Amref Health Africa in Uganda people, culture and organizational capacity, in order to empower front-line staff in the field and the support Country office based staff.
Emily is a Certified Strategic HR Professional (SHRP), with a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology, and professional member of Society of Human Resources Management in the USA. A seasoned, professional with extensive Human Resources career in multi-donor, million dollar international Non-Governmental Organizations having a rich mix of Human resources, finance, programs and business development around grants acquisition and management. She has 14 years of vast experience in Workforce Planning & Employment, Business Management & Strategy, Performance Management, Change Management, Talent Management (Acquisition, Development & Retention), Compensation & Benefits, payroll management, Employee Labour Relations, and Human Resources Budget Management. As a strategic business partner, Emily’s strong business acumen is demonstrated in her ability to quickly understand the core business of an organization irrespective of the sector. This is supported by her strength in, communication, cross-cultural engagement, consulting, project management, financial management, team management and being results oriented. She is a leader who uses an “out-of-the-box” approach to problem solving, and consistently drives bottom-line performance, and efficiency. She is proficient in handling Human Resources function entailing strategy, business plans, HR budgeting, and business automation.
