Kenya’s health sector is at a defining moment. Landmark reforms, including the establishment of the Social Health Authority and the implementation of the Primary Health Care, Social Health Insurance, Digital Health and Facility Improvement Financing Acts, have laid a strong foundation for advancing Universal Health Coverage. Yet many Kenyans still face unequal access to quality care, financial hardship and persistent health system challenges. Convened by the Ministry of Health, the Kenya Health Summit 2026 will bring together government, Parliament, development partners, the private sector, academia, health professionals, civil society and communities to review progress and agree on actions that translate health reforms into better health outcomes.

Programme Highlights
The two-day programme will feature plenary sessions, ministerial and gubernatorial roundtables, thematic discussions, a public town hall, exhibitions and an innovation marketplace. Selected sessions will be streamed to widen participation.
Key themes: Health financing and infrastructure, primary healthcare, Community Health Promoters, Primary Care Networks, the health workforce, digital health, health products and technologies, emergency preparedness, climate resilience and intergovernmental coordination.
