We are leveraging on the innovative mobile technology – Leap, and jointly working with the Ministry of Health in Kenya to educate health workers on #COVID19 and equip them to educate communities on relevant prevention measures. #COVID19Africa
Using #Leap, health workers will also be trained to identify, isolate and refer suspected cases as well as maintain safety standards at points of entry or high-risk areas to prevent possible transmission. #COVID19Africa

In Tanzania, Amref conducted a COVID-19 preparedness training through the CDC funded (GHSA) project in partnership with MoHCDEC. The project is aimed at detecting and reporting possible outbreaks in Arusha region-Longido district council in Tanzania.

Amref has trained numerous healthcare providers in infection prevention and control. This includes providing guidelines on specimen collection, storage and transport for safe delivery of samples to reference labs for confirmation amongst other activities. #COVID19Africa
