Amref Central Laboratory (ACL) aims to take the lead in delivery of quality assured laboratory diagnostic services. Building on years of experience and goodwill form the East African Region and beyond, the lab seeks to foster new, and strengthen existing, partnerships with health service delivery organizations in Africa and beyond. AMC is NHIF-accredited and recently opened its gates to the public so as to increase access to quality health services to the populations in Nairobi targeting to increase its revenues in return. The accreditation will open up access to the clinic to a larger proportion of the population covered by the NHIF – majorly the indigents and people living in the informal settlements.
