We have learnt about cleft lip and palate through Leap. The grandchild of one of the ladies in my household was born with a cleft lip. They had been advised to book a reconstructive surgery for the child, all the way in Kijabe but when I heard about this, I remembered that I had learnt that this surgery could be done at Makindu Hospital for free. The surgery was successful and now the 6-month old is healthier and happier than ever.
