Learning from Programme Performance
Understanding what drove success, underperformance or adaptation and using evidence to inform decisions.
Innovation, Adaptation and Sustainability
Every year, Amref Kenya's programmes generate answers to some of the hardest questions in health and development: what works, what does not and why.
The Annual Learning Forum brings that evidence, experience and innovation together, creating space to reflect on results, interrogate what happened, share what has been learned and turn learning into organisational action.
The 2026 Forum builds on the commitments made at ALF 2025 and asks a practical question:
The Forum is not about sharing what we did.
It is about using evidence and experience to improve what we do next, demonstrate impact more effectively and strengthen organisational performance.
ALF 2026 will serve as Amref Kenya's premier organisational platform for translating evidence, experience, innovation and collective reflection into improved programme performance and sustainable impact.
The Forum aligns with the Amref Kenya Sustainability Framework 2025–2030 and its focus on programme and data innovation, impact marketing, financial resilience, people and culture, strategic partnerships and data-driven business development.
Four interconnected areas will shape the Forum, linking programme performance, innovation, impact and organisational learning.
Understanding what drove success, underperformance or adaptation and using evidence to inform decisions.
Exploring responsible AI, analytics, digital health, automation and innovation as tools for stronger programme effectiveness.
Strengthening the connection between measurement, evidence, storytelling, influence and resource mobilisation.
Strengthening peer learning, knowledge management, cross-programme collaboration and field-grounded organisational learning.
The Forum moves beyond conventional review meetings through interactive formats designed to make learning visible, practical and transferable.
High-value learning cases that move from the challenge to what was learned and what others can take forward.
Interactive demonstrations of AI, analytics, digital health and Data Lab solutions.
Evidence-based impact stories told through data, dashboards, multimedia and experience.
Facilitated peer learning focused on problem solving and cross-programme collaboration.
A practical session focused on what to start, stop, continue and do differently.
County focal persons bring frontline implementation realities directly into the organisational conversation.
ALF 2026 is designed to produce more than a conversation.
The Forum will generate practical products, recommendations and learning that can continue beyond the event.
Innovation. Adaptation. Sustainability.
