Behavioral and social predictors of COVID-19 vaccine uptake among persons with disabilities in Kenya

A mixed-methods study conducted in Kenya among 792 persons with disabilities (PWDs) across four counties revealed that only 59% were fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with significantly lower rates among individuals with cognitive (34.2%) and self-care (36.6%) impairments.  The study recommends targeted outreach through PWD institutions, localized vaccination campaigns, and leveraging trusted health workers to build vaccine confidence and improve access.
