Influence of government policies on handwashing and vaccine uptake in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania to prevent and control COVID-19: a systematic review.

A systematic review examining government influence on COVID-19 vaccine distribution and handwashing practices in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania found that public health policies and communication strategies significantly impacted uptake. Out of 136 studies reviewed, 9 met the inclusion criteria. The review highlights that policy success depends on factors such as safety, efficacy, access to information, and enforcement, emphasizing the need for comprehensive, context-sensitive strategies to improve public health outcomes.
