A Father’s Commitment to Health and Hope
From Fuoni, Zanzibar, Hussein Mussa, a proud father of three, stands as a
true champion for child health in his community. For him, every child’s life
is a precious gift worth protecting and vaccination is one of the greatest
shields he can offer.
“Each time I have a child,” Hussein shares warmly, “I make sure they
receive all their vaccines. It’s something I never take lightly.”
Through the support and awareness brought by the SLL Project, Hussein
has become a vocal champion in his neighborhood encouraging other
parents not to overlook immunization.
“Vaccines save lives,” he says. “They protect our children from diseases
and outbreaks. Some people still believe vaccines are unsafe, but that’s
not true. I always tell my neighbors don’t listen to such myths. Let’s
protect our families and our future.”
Today, Hussein continues to ensure his children remain healthy, growing
up strong and full of life a living testimony to the power of vaccines and the
impact of community awareness through the SLL Project under Mastercard
foundation.
From routine childhood immunizations to Tetanus vaccines for mothers and
adolescent vaccinations for students, communities are now better
protected than ever before. The combined effort of health workers and
community health volunteers has built trust, increased vaccine uptake, and
saved countless lives.
