$181 Million in Activities to Help Prevent Maternal and Child Deaths
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) officially launched a suite of four activities to address preventable maternal and child deaths in Ethiopia. These “Transform” activities will support the Government of Ethiopia’s overall efforts to prevent child and maternal deaths. Amref Donates State of the Art Doppler Ultrasound to Dubti Hospital
In response to the unmet health needs of Afar region, Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia through Access, Service and Knowledge for Women Cancer Project (ASK4WCP) donated 700,000 Birr worth ofDoppler Ultrasound, a medical equipment used to screen breast and other internal organs, to Dubti Hospital on 6 July 2017.
The donation, which is funded by Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMSF), is part of Amref Health Africa’s broader intervention that aims to improve women’s health in Afar and other developing regions.
