AfyaFest 2026 convened Africa’s health innovation ecosystem in Dakar for three days of collaboration and action. Young innovators, students, and community health leaders partnered with ministers, regulators, researchers, universities, bankers, and investors to develop solutions that can transform health across the continent. The event showcased regulatory support for entrepreneurs, innovations addressing sickle-cell disease, and opportunities for emerging talent to gain recognition, mentorship, and investment. This report highlights the ideas, partnerships, and commitments formed at AfyaFest, and underscores our shared responsibility to scale Africa’s health innovations to strengthen health systems and improve lives.
