USAID – AFYA TIMIZA BEST PRACTICES

AFYA TIMIZA translates to ‘ a promise to health’ in Swahili and espouses the project goal which is aimed at sustainably improving health outcomes for mothers, children, and adolescents in the hard-to-reach areas of Samburu and Turkana Counties. To advance this goal, the project focused on increasing equitable access and utilization of quality County-Led family planning, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (FP/RMNCAH), nutrition and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in the hard to reach areas of Samburu County and Turkana Counties of Kenya.
