Clinical Services have been part of Amref Health Africa since its formative years to provide outpatient and laboratory services to employees and also to provide support to its existing programmes that had a clinical or laboratory element.
It is important to appreciate that as much as this is a potential source of revenue for AEL, Clinical Services will not be the primary focus of AEL as at now due to the (i) huge investments required for equipment, (ii) the robust market analysis required to generate value and (iii) the pricing challenges due to market dynamics.
