CALL TO JOIN AMREF HEALTH AFRICA IN ZAMBIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Amref Health Africa is the largest Africa-based international health development organization

working with communities, health systems, and governments to bring lasting health change

in Africa. Headquartered in Kenya, Amref operates in over 30 countries with more than 1200

staff and an annual operating budget of approximately USD 110 million. For more

Amref Health Africa in Zambia, a Non-Governmental Organization registered in 2016,

envisions “Lasting Health Change in Africa.” Our mission is to transform the health of

communities through Primary Health Care, with a focus on women and young people. Our

work is anchored on two strategic pillars: People-Centered Health Systems and Social

Determinants of Health.

The Board of Directors provides governance oversight, policy direction, financial stewardship,

and strategic guidance to ensure the organization delivers on its mission. The Board meets

quarterly and operates through established committees. These positions are voluntary (pro

bono).
