In 2017, Amref Health Africa in Uganda with support and funding from Amref Netherlands implemented specialized medical outreach services in the districts of; Nebbi, Adjumani, Kitgum, Nwoya and Agago of Northern Uganda.
This increased access to specialized medical services by communities in the hard to reach areas of Northern Uganda.
Strengthened knowledge and skills of health workers through on-the-Job training and CME lectures and improved community awareness on NCDs using the approach of mobilization, health talks and medical camps.
