Dr. Patrick Kagurusi
MBCHB (MUK, 2000), HCMTC (STI, 2004), MPH (LUND, 2009)
Dr Kagurusi is a Public Health Specialist with more than 19 years of experience in both Technical, Managerial and Strategic Public Health practice. His has interest and practice experience in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child & Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) and WASH. He is currently the Deputy Country Director and RMNCAH Technical Advisor at Amref Health Africa in Uganda. His work involves design and technical oversight over public health and interventions development including Reproductive Health, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health Care Worker Training including e-learning, prevention of HIV/AIDS other infectious diseases as well as research.
Dr Kagurusi has worked with remote communities, especially young people, women and girls, to helping them to achieve life skills. He has also worked in the public and private health sector as well as the academia at Makerere University School of Public Health. His graduate and post graduate training is in human medicine and public health respectively.
