This qualitative study explored the lived experiences of adolescents and young adults aged 15–35 across six counties in Kenya during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on social, economic, educational, and healthcare impacts. This paper highlights the strategies and interventions that facilitated the successful rollout of COVID-19 vaccination in Nyeri County, Kenya, following the arrival of the AstraZeneca vaccine in March 2021. Sociodemographic determinants of fathers´ acceptance of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine of adolescent girls in Kesses (rural) and Kapseret (urban), Uasin Gishu County, Kenya
This study explored the socio-demographic factors influencing fathers' acceptance of HPV vaccination for their daughters in Kenya, where paternal consent is key due to their role as household decision-makers. Conducted between January and February 2024, it involved 375 fathers of adolescent girls and included both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Findings revealed low vaccine acceptance, with only 36.8% of daughters vaccinated. Most fathers were married and had at least secondary education. Employment status and geographical location significantly influenced vaccine acceptance.

This cross-sectional study assessed the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies among residents of Kibera informal settlement in Nairobi, Kenya, before widespread vaccination. Conducted between October 2019 and August 2021, it involved 438 participants aged one year and above who were asymptomatic at the time of testing.
