Climate and Health Advocacy Report, 2025 – Amref Health Africa

As climate change increasingly shapes health outcomes across Africa, ensuring that health remains at the centre of climate policy, financing, and action has never been more critical. The Climate and Health Advocacy Report 2025 chronicles Amref Health Africa’s efforts to elevate Africa’s voice in global climate discussions and advance climate-resilient, people-centred health systems across the continent.

The report captures a year of strategic engagement and advocacy, from the Africa Climate Summit (ACS2), UN General Assembly, and World Health Summit to COP30 in Brazil. It highlights key milestones, including the launch of the first-ever Climate and Health Negotiators’ Curriculum for the African Group of Negotiators, the development of the Africa Climate and Health Playbook, the expansion of the Pan-African Partnership on Climate and Health (PPCH), and progress in advancing climate and health financing and policy integration across Africa.
