Assessment of the application of the SPICES model in the competency-based curriculum of the Kenya-registered community health nursing program at the Kenya Medical Training College, Nairobi.
The SPICES model was widely applied in nursing training at KMTC Nairobi, particularly through student-centered, problem-based, community-based, and systematic learning approaches. However, implementation was inconsistent, highlighting the need to strengthen and standardize SPICES-based teaching and assessment across the competency-based curriculum.
