Factors influencing student participation in community-based learning in the Department of Public Health: A case study of Kisii University, Kenya
This study found that while community-based learning (CBL) effectively helps public health students at Kisii University apply theoretical knowledge in practice, participation is constrained by inadequate transport and financial support, resource limitations, communication challenges, and inconsistent faculty support. Strengthening institutional resources, faculty support, and CBL coordination could improve student engagement and program sustainability.
