Michael David Machaku
Michael David Machaku is a graduate (MSc) of International Community Economic Development and a Public Health Specialist.
Michael has over twenty years of experience in managing public health interventions in the area of HIV/AIDS (Early Infant and Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision -EIMC&VMMC), TB, Family Planning, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health, Livelihood, and Life Skills. He is managing an Integrated USAID TB & Family Planning intervention (LON), with multiple and diverse recipients both local and international organizations. Further, he has proven competencies and ability in capacity building of CSOs, CBOs, faith-based organizations, and regional and council health management teams.
Michael has gained massive competence in project planning, systems management, project cycle management, proposal development, monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning as well as a results-based centered approach. He has strong facilitation and adult learning skills with a capacity to organize training events using relevant and contemporary training and facilitation approaches and tools.
Currently, he serves as the Chief of Party, USAID Afya Shirikishi, at Amref Health Africa Tanzania.
