Mr Damas Mugashe
Damas Damian Mugashe joins us from the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) where he worked as the Director of Programs and Enterprise Development. He has over 16 years of experience in the Financial Management and Accounting of NGOs and projects which are funded by donors and other Development Partners (DPs). He has also experience in Strategic Planning, general administration, Procurement, quality assurance, Investments, Human Resources Management, and Taxation. He has managed contracts, grants, and partnerships together with running related capacity building on financial management matters. He has been involved in designing complex contracts and supervising them to their final performance and ensuring conclusion and report writing.
He is an Associate Certified Public Accountant (ACPA) and registered by the Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) in Tanzania. He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Maatritch School of Management of Holland in collaboration with the East and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) of Arusha Tanzania. Further, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) in Tanzania and an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from the same Institute.
in addition to other professional short courses, he has also attended various professional capacity-building programs including networking meetings and events organized by different teams. He is a trainer and a mentor to young professional accountants.
He has published different articles and reports. Examples of those articles are; “Prioritizing customer centrism in banks a cornerstone to succeed” –Published in the Exchange Magazine of East Africa in May 2019 and “The benefits reaped from Mortgage loans” (Swahili version in Mtanzania Newspaper of 2nd October 2018.
Away from the office, Damas likes to network with others, sports, interior decorations, and gardening.
