The Board of Directors of Amref Health Africa in Tanzania is currently appointing its next Chairperson of the Board. This visionary leader will guide the Board in its vital governance and oversight role as the organization continues to strategically develop, scale, and thrive within a rapidly evolving international development sector.

Role & Overview
The Chairperson reports directly to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and is primarily responsible for leading the Board of Directors. The Board functions in close partnership with, yet strictly independent of, executive management to ensure robust organizational health:
1. Facilitate the absolute achievement of strategic organizational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and proactively leveraging systemic opportunities through high-level advocacy, targeted fundraising, and institutional representation alongside the Country Director.
2. Provide appropriate, rigorous oversight of executive management to maintain operational accountability and strategic alignment.
3. Foster, support, and anchor an organizational culture rooted in ethical, transparent, and highly responsible decision-making frameworks.
