Jane Okot P’ Bitek Langoya FCG is a distinguished Chartered Governance Professional and Corporate Governance Consultant with a wealth of experience in governance practices and board dynamics. As the Chairperson of the ICSA Uganda Branch, Jane is dedicated to promoting good governance standards in Uganda and beyond. She holds the prestigious title of Fellow from ICSA – The Chartered Governance Institute (UK) and is a certified Corporate Governance Trainer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank.
Jane has played a vital role in board training and evaluation, imparting her expertise as a senior faculty member at ICSA Uganda. She is also a committee member of the National Research and Innovation Program under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation and serves as a Senior Advocate in the Courts of Judicature in Uganda. Her leadership extends to her positions as a board member for JC Holdings Ltd and JC Forestry Enterprise Ltd.
Previously, Jane served as the Deputy Registrar General at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau, where she was instrumental in establishing the National Intellectual Property Policy, successfully launched by the President of Uganda. Her extensive experience includes serving as Company Secretary for Kinyara Sugar Works Ltd and National Housing & Construction Company Ltd, along with being a Board Member of Housing Finance Bank.
Jane holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Business Venturing from the University of Stirling and is committed to continuous learning in corporate governance. She is a founding council member of the Institute of Corporate Governance Uganda and has been actively involved in training future governance professionals, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability within Uganda’s corporate landscape.
